Aluminum Enhances Green Building Design

Use of aluminum helps building projects qualify for green building status under the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) standards. Sacramento's Capitol Area East End Complex was the first LEED-certified building in the state of California. This certification was awarded in part due to a high-performance, non-reflective aluminum curtain wall that conserves energy by maximizing the use of sunlight.
